Our story
EcoTraders was established in 2003 as a project management company for greenhouse gas reduction projects under the UNFCCC Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and acquired technical, economic, policy and regulatory expertise in a variety of industrial and municipal sectors, including energy efficiency, renewable energy generation, and waste‐to‐energy, as well as cement, magnesium, paper, and textile manufacture.

Omer Tamir, CEO
Ron Kamara
VP, Climate and Energy Policy
Omer is one of EcoTraders founding generation. He has more than 15 years of experience in implementation and management of environmental and energy projects, as well as in policy formulation in cooperation with government officials.
Omer holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
Ron is a leading advisor to government ministries on climate change and energy policy. Among other things, he developed in Israel the national MRV system for GHG emissions and the national GHG reduction target.
He benefits from an extensive experience in the implementation of mitigation projects, in economic - environmental analysis of sustainable technologies and in policy formulation.
Ron has a B.A in Economics from University of Washington and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Tel Aviv University.
Roni Komar, Chairman
Roni is the owner and founder of the company, and serves as chairman of the board. He has more than 20 years of experience in managing companies in the fields of Environmental Protection and Energy. Prior to EcoTraders, Roni served as the director-general of the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection.
Roni holds an LL.B degree, a license to practice law in Israel, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
Rafi Siluk
Head of Energy Efficiency Team
Rafi has an extensive experience in planning, managing and implementing infrastructure, energy and energy-efficiency projects. Being a senior process engineer and VP of development in water technologies and renewable energy companies, Rafi leads the energy team at EcoTraders.
Rafi holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Ben Gurion University and an MBA from Tel Aviv University
Avri Schechter
Head of Energy Policy Team
Avri leads a team specializing in national energy policy, efficiency, renewables, and emissions reduction. They assist the Energy Ministry with the national energy efficiency plan. With over 7 years of experience, Avri conducts techno-economic assessments, policy analysis, and develops tools for policy effectiveness in various energy sectors. He has expertise in policy formulation and regulatory impact assessment in energy and environment. Avri holds degrees in Economics and Sustainability from Reichman University and Public Policy from Tel Aviv University.
Hadar Danker Zer-Aviv
Senior Project Manager, Climate and Energy Policy
Hadar specializes in formulating and implementing policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, including unique experience in integrating climate considerations into financial activities and leading processes for assessing the impact of emerging regulations (RIA). Hadar has significant experience in managing projects that include techno-economic reviews, quantitative and economic analyses of policy measures, and qualitative analysis of environmental and climate change regulations. Hadar holds a bachelor's degree in PPE (Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics) from Tel Aviv University, and a master's degree in Business Administration from the Hebrew University.
Ela Ofer Rozovsky Senior Project Manager, Environment Team
Ela specializes in environmental issues, providing services such as PRTR reporting, environmental due diligence, and air emission permits. She assists the Environmental Protection Ministry with PRTR reviews and emission calculations. Ela also supports government ministries in implementing energy efficiency and emissions reduction plans for industry and local authorities. She's involved in ISO50001 energy management systems implementation. With a PhD from the Technion, Ela has over 15 years of experience in environmental and wastewater fields.
